MCM is an organically grown volunteers group in the region Marlborough, NZ. We want to influence the councillors in our region to make the right decisions for us all. We also want to engage more locals in this process by using their opinion and polling on important issues.

WATER MATTERS

We want Marlborough District Council to actively resist water chlorination directed by central government. Please check out this 14 mins video on water treatment done better

NO TO CHLORINATION

The proposed residual (=after sufficient UV treatment) water chlorination makes no sense and is absolutely not safe: projected in Marlborough for up to 6 people to get cancer every year and deliver two babies born with birth defects. This is unacceptable. We feel the council should be made personally liable for the health effects of chlorinating our water. Sources here:
